Packing the right items can make your safari experience safer, more comfortable, and more enjoyable. Here’s what we recommend bringing:

1. Clothing:

• Lightweight, breathable clothing in neutral colors (beige, khaki, olive) for game drives

• Long-sleeved shirts and trousers for sun and insect protection

• Warm layers (fleece or jacket) for early morning and evening drives

• Comfortable walking shoes or hiking boots

• Hat or cap, sunglasses, and swimwear (if visiting beaches or lodges with pools)

2. Accessories:

• Binoculars and camera with extra batteries/memory cards

• Small backpack or daypack for excursions

• Reusable water bottle

• Sunscreen and insect repellent

• Travel adapter (Kenya uses Type G plug)

3. Personal Items:

• Personal medications and a basic first-aid kit

• Toiletries (biodegradable preferred)

• Passport, ID, travel documents, and emergency contact info

4. Optional but Useful:

• Light rain jacket or poncho (during rainy season)

• Notebook or journal

• Snacks for long drives
